Expect an onslaught - you've been Slashdotted.
I'm very pleased at this news, far too much banal crap on TV at the moment

As a long time Billy West and Howard Stern fan, I have a few comments about your reaction to this post, and past posts you've made related to doing the Stern show:
- Your 'been there, done that, old Billy' comment is in conflict with the fact that you continue to do things like the Red M&M for years and years.
- Is it really that important to restrict your voice work to only those things that generate large sums of money? What about caring about the fans that miss you and want to join with you on uncensored satellite radio to remember the good times? Would a one hour satellite show really throw your well-rounded career into some sort of chaos? Would it somehow hurt you financially to visit on a one-time basis at this point?
- Do you really feel attacked when fans of both you and Howard, missing the old, raw Billy, plead with you to bring it back, if only for a short time? Really, Billy, that's so far from the truth. If we weren't fans of what you did, and what you are capable of doing in the new environment, we wouldn't bother to ask or post here.
I can understand where financial considerations could have been paramount 15-20 years ago, but you've had a great career since the original Stern days, and I simply can't fathom your not wanting to yuk it up with the people on the show, and your Stern show fans, if only for an hour or so. There simply aren't any negatives here: they love you, we miss you, and would listen in droves to the laughfest that would ensue.
In the end, you're going to do what you want to do, and that's only right. It is your life and career, after all. That being said, there are a few million people outside of the cartoon world that would be thrilled to hear you on Howard's show. I can only surmise that you have such distaste for things you used to do like 'Marge Schott', 'Leona Helmsley' and 'Jackie Puppet', that it trumps (for you) the value we fans place on such an appearance.
To me, and many people like me (in my 40's now, 20+ year fan), your refusal to do a show on Sirius or visit the Stern show is nothing short of self-aggrandizing, oblivious of a large fan segment's desires, and very disappointing. I can only see good things resulting for your fans if you were to revisit a very, very funny portion of your past with Howard.

Nice, I've always love Billy's work on Futurama. It really showed off his range. Well, a small portion of it. I had no idea he had a site till he mentioned it on O&A the other day which was really great to here. Billy is always entertaining even when he just calls into shows or on comic con panels.

This is for QA Pete. Billy doesn't want to go back to radio! End of discussion. All Billy owes any of his true fans is a great performance, and I would say by the vast number of people on this forum from around the world that Billy has done just that...for nearly 20 years. Do I share in some of your disappointment that Billy has left a portion of his past in the past? Yes! However, I also share in the excitement for Billy's future projects such as Billy Bastard and an all new season of Futurama. There is simply nothing to be gained by worrying about water that is already over the bridge so to speak. Whining about Billy going back to Howard seems reminiscent of Soap Opera fans whining about Luke and Laura getting back together. It's in the past GET OVER IT!

Gute, I think QA is just afraid that stern won't last much longer without some great talent on his show seeing as he has been declining for many years now. Maybe qa has it in his brain that he can some how argue or guilt trip Billy into something far less gratifying and benifitial to the man himself. Few people respect growth and change. Even if that change is doing more eps of an old show that holds a spot next to another show on adultswim that was recently "UN" canceled. I swear, it almost seems like these shows were just originally aired on the wrong station at the wrong time with the wrong accompanying shows. I'm so glad to see the resurrection of great cartoons such as these despite the previous (no show uncanceled) attitude of the industry.

I knew about the movies, but it's good to hear that actual new episodes
are going to be made. It'll be great to have the old gang back
together, again.

I cant put my excitement into words. Futurama is number 1 in my
favorite shows of all time, and Fry is number 1 in my favorite
characters of all time. Im extremely happy both for us and for
Billy. The only thing that could make me happier is if Billy
Bastard were to be picked up.
Congratulations Billy! Im extremely exstatic with this news!
