Well, I know for a fact that John DiMaggio will probably be very excited if this comes to fruition. When the whole possibility of Futurama coming back via DVD's was first mentioned early last year, there was a quote by John something along the likes of "if this happens, you can bet I'll be the first to sign my name on the dotted line."

All the others seemed to love doing the show from what I've seen and heard too. The only cast member I've never really got a clear indication of is actually Katey. Aside from one article at Futurama's genesis in '99, I've never really see her comment on the show directly.

Actually, TV Guide had an interview with her a month or so ago and mentioned the possibilty.

"TVGuide.com: Is it true there may be a feature film of Futurama, for which you voice Leela?
Sagal: Oh, I hope so. I love Futurama. Last I heard, they were going to maybe do some more releases on DVD. There are always rumors about a movie, but I haven't gotten a phone call yet."

I hope they also do commentary tracks on the new DVDs. I've said before that the commentaries at least double the value of the DVDs, as they're just as entertaining as the actual show! Being able to laugh along with the folks who made the show really lets you see how much fun they truly had making it.

Plus, you get little extras like Maurice LaMarche's Shatner impression or hearing about John DiMaggio's dad saying, " 'Balls thoroughly licked?' I loved it!!" Or, Billy and John doing a Professor-off or a Zoidberg-off, or Billy doing the entire commentary in-character.

Oh, and it makes it easy to tell some of the lines David X. wrote, because he says them in normal conversation, too:

"Take that, {insert name here}!"
and
"Who's gonna {insert action here}? Nobody, that's who!"

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing some new material from the gang, and you better believe they'll be on preorder as soon as Amazon.com lists 'em ;)

The commentary for the bird bot of Icecatraz was one of my favourites with Mr. West as Zoidberg for the entire commentary and where the buggalo roam when he did the throat singing with John

And who can forget the musical masterpiece that was "Nobody Cares" from Luck of the Fryrish!

nobody cares, nobody cares, nobody-cares-nobody-cares-nobody-cares-nobody-cares.

COMEDY GOLD

poor david, he was getting really excited telling everyone about... don't really remember now, but he just gets cut down so hard, harsh, but brilliant, must remember to use that on some one who's not me

I think he was saying something about working with one of the people on The Breakfast Club (as Fry was checking it for the clover) and that's what started the song. And then the song reprises again at the end when John mentions seeing Cheap Trick and Billy starts up again.

I also liked the random shout-outs to Eric Kaplan's mom in that episode, too. And of course, who can forget the obligatory dancing scene.

It was actually John DiMaggio. He said something like, "I actually met Anthony Michael Hall once. Nice guy." And then the "Nobody cares!" bit came up, which John even started doing himself.

Which reminds me, I loved it on The Deep South when they talked about what a sitcom would be like if John were one of the live-studio-audience participants because of his loud, distinct laughter.

Sadly, it's just the E! Online interview distributed once again. No new information but the fact that a bunch of places are picking up the articles shows some promise, I think. Even TelevisionWithoutPity.come has a poll on the main page referring to it. "Fox might bring back Futurama! What other prematurely cancelled Fox show would you most like to see revived?"

Well even if all of this is rumours and flights of fantasy fox will have to take notice at the amount of people going nuts about this.So even if this is just a rumour theres always a chance that the fan reaction will lead to the show coming back in one way or another

Well, unfortunately, guys, so far there's just no more room on the schedule. We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows like Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That 80's Show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girls Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, FreakyLinks, Wanda at Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute With Stan Hooper, Normal, Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddy, The $treet, American Embassy, Cedric The Entertainer, The Tick, Luis, and Greg the Bunny.

I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes, we might just have a shot.
